Our teaching methods are carried following the official recommendations of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
In order to make you progress quickly and to improve your autonomy, we apply our communicative method which has proven its efficiency at ILA over the past 15 years.
The digest approach to grammar through communicative exercises and teamwork (role plays, situational plays, debates, fun activities, video) will make learning French incredibly easy!
Lessons are taught in French to optimize the training, although adapted to each level, even beginners. French class sizes are small, usually 6 to 9 students per class with a maximum of 12 students per class. We use our own manuals, conceived by our pedagogical team, as well as different methods recognised by the FLE. All of our classrooms are equipped to animate multimedia activities.
In order to reach your language targets, all of our teachers are French native speakers and are qualified FLE (French as a Foreign Language) from their university degrees.
They have solid experience and provide high quality French language courses for all levels, answering all your needs, and have for the most taught at least once abroad. As well as being competent, our teachers are selected for their enthusiasm and friendliness, which help the learning process in being more fun and easy.
Upon arrival, you will pass an online knowledge test, which will insure you are placed in the right level group.
Our school provides a minimum of 6 levels year round. These levels (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2) are established by the common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Your teacher will regularly evaluate your progress, usually at the end of each week. At the end of a cycle, your level is validated by your teacher or by a knowledge test, in order to access the next cycle.
At the end of your stay, you will receive a certificate mentioning the dates of your French language course, the level you followed and your percentage of absence.
A detailed complementary diploma can be given to you on request.
