Our French Teachers guide you in Achieving your Educational Goals

Most of our French teachers have lived abroad and taught French there, they speak several languages. We favor to recruit teachers who have had a personal or professional experience abroad in the past.

Angélique

Angélique“Fond of traveling, it is to Montpellier I decided to settle down, after a wonderful experience teaching French in Tbilisi (Georgia). I hold a Master degree of FLE that I obtained in Montpellier. I will teach you the French language and culture with dynamism, and my classes take place in a friendly and warm atmosphere where cultures meet. This way, I meet people from all backgrounds, which keep me travelling in a way!”

Céline

Céline“I discovered FLE, which became my passion, through a Korean student, who has now been a true friend for 10 years. After being flatmates with her in the Savoie Region, I moved down to the south of France to find sun and heat. I passed my Master’s TEFL here at the Paul Valéry University of Montpellier. In my class, cultures are shared and exchanged in a serious but yet enthusiastic atmosphere.”

Claire

Claire“After studying English, obtaining my Master’s degree of FLE and spending several years of teaching French in Central Europe and the Baltics, I set my bags in France, in Burgundy, in 2001.I worked there for five years and then the Southern sun had me migrate down to Montpellier, where I have lived for 7 years now. I have a complete CIEP training for creation and proofreading of DELF and DALF exams, and I will be your main contact for any questions relative to the exam preparation. Originally from the West region of France, I inherited the typical characteristics of this part of our country, my kindness equals work rigor. It is my daily pleasure to share the love I have for the beautiful language that French is.

Brunelle

Brunelle“My youth spent in oversea territories luckily gave me an insight on how rich the French language is. Passionate of literature, travelling, and overall being curious of the world, French teaching seemed perfect to me to be completely fulfilled.

After obtaining my masters, and an Au Pair experience in Spain, I settled in Montpellier, a both historical and cultural city, yet young and where you never get bored. My classes are always dynamic and good spirited, it will be a great pleasure for me to meet you there to make you discover the French culture and language . So come join us on new adventures, exchange and share your culture here with students from around the world!”

Cyprien

Cyprien“Great joy of living, constant dynamism, beaches and sun, are what characterise Montpellier the most. And it’s this Mediterranean way of living that I communicate through my lessons. 10 years of teaching and cultural animation in France, Colombia, Africa and the United States, have allowed me to develop a fun and original learning method. So if you are looking for a fulfilling, inspiring and effective course, you are meant to be in my class! Treat yourself to learning while having fun!”

Sara

Sara“Holder of the Master FLE obtained in Montpellier, I went to teach in Lisbon, Portugal. What was supposed to be only one year of internship turned into 5 years filled with unforgettable experiences and fabulous encounters at the Alliance Française and in other language institutes. When I returned to France, I chose to settle in the inlands, in a small village located 25 km from Montpellier. It is with great pleasure that I hit the road every morning to come to ILA, and continue to meet with our wonderful students from all over the world! I may seem demanding sometimes, but it is with true goodwill that I will accompany you in your learning. My leitmotif? No stress!”

Julie

Julie“Welcome to Montpellier, my home town, which I have had the privilege to see grow and become more beautiful over the years. I hope you will also appreciate its charm and its gentle way of life. Since my childhood, I have always loved the French language, it was my favorite discipline throughout my schooling. It is quite natural that I turned to literary studies. I studied at the Paul Valéry University in Montpellier where I obtained a master’s degree in French literature and French as a foreign language. I then taught for a few years at ILA, which gave me my first real teaching experience. Then I decided to take the time to realize a childhood dream: to live in Japan! I lived for two years on the island of Kyushu, first in Beppu where I studied Japanese and tutored French at the university, then in Kumamoto. This little piece of life on Japanese land was decisive for my career. I studied Japanese intensively, which gave me a better understanding of what a student can experience when taking standard and intensive courses. Also, because the Japanese language is very different from the French language, it made me more sensitive to the way it is taught. My Japanese teachers were very methodical and inspired me to enrich my way of teaching grammar in particular, by further developing my ability to explain more clearly, and to try to make accessible what may seem difficult. My strong point is empathy and patience. If you are a perfectionist in your learning of French, you will certainly appreciate my lessons!”
