You will start this linguistic activity by visiting an olive grove: you will get to see a typical Provençal mas, its orchard and its fig trees, a water spring, amidst the cicadas singing. You will see the olive at all the various stages, from production to harvest. At the end of this cultural visit, you will be able to taste several types of olive oil, as well as “tapenade”, a regional product made of olives. To finish off your sightseeing trip in total immersion in Provence, you will visit the famous town of Arles, the gateway to the Camargue in the heart of the Rhône delta. This festive city is a symbol of local traditions with its town festivals including the famous Easter Feria. During this cultural immersion, you will be able to admire the paintings by Van Gogh, who lived in Arles for several years. Suring his stay in Arles, the famous painter created 200 paintings representing the magnificent scenery in Provence and in the South of France. You will also get to see traces left behind by the Romans, with the famous Théâtre Antique and the coliseum and which are both located in Arles.
